TSMU Iovel Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry at the International Scientific Conference in Batumi

The Iovel Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry (TSMU) participated in the International Scientific Conference: "Modern Pharmacy – Achievements and Challenges," held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.

The Director of the Institute, Malkhaz Getia, delivered a presentation titled: "Challenges and Modern Approaches in the Standardization of Bioactive Natural Compounds." He also served as the moderator for the plenary session.

The following poster presentations were featured at the conference:

  • Teona Korkotadze and Zurab Kemoklidze: "Chemical and Biological Evaluation of Essential Oil from Pinus eldarica Medw. Needles Distributed in Georgia."

  • Lali Kintsurashvili: "Antioxidant Activity of Alkaloids from Delphinium freynii Conrath. and Peganum harmala L. (Native to Georgia) and Mahonia bealei (Fort.) Carr (Introduced in Georgia)."

  • Dimitri Lagadidze: "In Vitro Release and Solubility Study of Carotenoids from Suppositories Containing Sea Buckthorn Oil and Thymol."

  • Vaja Nebieridze: "Chemical Composition of Cynanchum acutum L. Roots."

  • Malkhaz Getia and Teona Korkotadze: Presented research findings funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia: "Primary Evaluation of the Biological Activity of Cornus mas L. Distributed in Georgia."

The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Bidzina Chumburidze.
